Egg Retrieval

GO "D"!!!! We got 4 little eggies today! Woohoo! We will find out the fertilization report tomorrow. I can't believe this...it is so exciting! Hopefully one of those little guys will make it through! I was telling my mom about it today after D texted me the great news! She is such a trooper... I am so excited!

BTW, when I say little "guy" it's because they are doing sex selection to have a boy. How amazing...it will be my very first boy pregnancy. I have heard that boy pregnancies differ from girls...but I don't really think that's true. Both of my girls pregnancies were different in MANY ways! So who knows!

I feel great with all of the support I have so far. Most of my friends are just so excited. My family is being real supportive and of course my IP's. Everything is just so wonderful it is unbelievable. This is just so amazing so far!

I had my last Lupron shot last night woo-hoo! We hardly had anything left in the bottle! We were so stressed... but I emailed our RE and they said that was fine, to do what we can and one day wouldnt hurt! Especially because my lining was so thick already. I have been feeling a little tiny tiny bit of morning sickness which is odd, but hey I am taking hormones.

We were planning on doing a 3day transer on Dec 13th but it got moved to Dec15th. A 5day transfer, since they are doing PG testing. So hopefull their little guy is a tough one and he does very well on his first ever test! :)

Not much more to update on YET, but I'm sure I will have much much more after transfer! <3 Amanda

Well...

So..had a dr's appointment the other day. They said my lining was 10mm and my levels were good, 493 I believe. They said I was doing a great job with the injections! "D" had her appointment and there were 5 little eggies! Hopefully there will be more Monday! I can't believe transfer is in 10days! Yay!

My Lupron box is looking pretty empty these days, which is a good thing... and I only have a few more Estrogen shots to take. :) My legs are all bruised up from the injections and my arms are bruised from the blood tests they have been taking. My bruises normally go away very quick, but it must be the aspirin I'm taking every day that keeps them there? The up side is that my fear of needles is getting better!

We already have babysitters planned and took the days off from work for the transfer. I am so excited, I tell Eddie (hubby) everyday. I give him the countdown daily, just in case he forgets. My next appointment is next week some time, super excited! Then I start the suppositories.

So far everyone has been really supportive. I get questioned all the time and I have no problem answering them. I get "Wow, that's great money" all the time too. :( I really wish people didn't always think that way! That is seriously the worst thing you can say to a surrogate who's heart is in it. Another thing that gets me is "How can you give the baby up"...wow... I'm not giving the baby UP or AWAY. It's not my baby to "give"! I make my babies with love, out of love from myself and my partner. Just as they are doing.

There's no doubt I will love their baby, he will be a part of my life. But I know where that line is. He is not mine, nor will he ever be. I can't see how surrogates can take the parents to court for THEIR babies. That's like walking up to someone and stealing their baby. Or a babysitter running off with the kids.

Anyway! Leah is 1 now! Woohoo! I can't believe how fast that went!  And we started packing today to move to the house. I can't believe how much stuff we have...good thing we are having a yard sale! Speaking of... I should go clean out the girls' room! They have so many toys I don't even know what to do...
